Susan S. Yang, CPA, PFS

Susan Yang is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) and a Certified College Planning Specialist (CCPS). As a CPA financial planner, Susan focuses on clients' overall financial picture, not just their taxes or their investments.

Susan earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Shanghai International Studies University. When she came to Portland, she studied accounting, passed the CPA exam in her first sitting and became a CPA. With additional special course work and exams, Susan earned her CCPS and PFS designations. The PFS credential was established for CPAs who specialize in personal financial planning and is awarded exclusively to AICPA members in good standing who have demonstrated considerable experience and expertise in that area.

A member of the Financial Literacy Committee of the Oregon Society of CPAs, Susan is a frequent speaker at high schools and business groups on personal finance and tax topics including college planning.

Susan and her husband have lived in the beautiful Northwest for more than twenty years. Their son followed Mom's footsteps and is also a CPA.
